Composition Photo Safari

Composition Photo Safari

Join us for a photo safari to explore and develop greater ideas of observation and composition.

Capture photos in new and different ways.

Meet new friends. Pick up some photo tips!

We spend two hours exploring an indoor architectural marvel in central Ottawa/Gatineau.

What you need:

Bring any camera - from point and shoot to high tech SLR. You may bring a tripod - but they are not necessary.

Bring comfortable clothes, footwear and a friend to share the fun. A completed registration form is needed to participate.

What to expect:

Add some oomph to your photos. The group (maximum 10 people) explores the traditional and un-traditional rules of composition. The safari leader (Harry) will push you to see differently and bust out of your current views.

We will shoot the architecture and interior from different angles and locations to give participants a chance to develop their photo skills. You can expect to walk 1 km over the session. Top photos will be featured on the blog at

How are a Safari and a Workshop different?:

On a safari the emphasis is on fun and friends with some photo guidance and tips included.

On a workshop the emphasis is on learing specific photo skills. Fun is always included.

The group (maximum 15 people) explores the workings of the farm, inside & out. Your guide, Harry, leads you and friends through the paddocks and offers ideas for furry photos.

We walk one to two kilometres over the safari stopping to take photos along the way. Top photos will be featured on the blog at
