Creative Fundamentals is designed to awaken your camera's amazing potential. Our most popular photography workshop, Creative Fundamentals is geared to give you a broad exploration of all the basic photographic principles - including proper exposure & focusing techniques, depth of field, and knowledge of perspective and composition.

The Fall section will be held among Gatineau Park's stunning fall colours near Old Chelsea with the classroom sessions held in a central Ottawa classroom environment. In the rare event of very bad weather the location may be moved to a location that accomodates indoor and outdoor shooting like the Museum of Civilization.

  • exploring creative possibilities using Depth of Field

  • experimenting with MOTION in your pictures
  • and MORE!

"Is this a digital or film course?" It is a photography course - about creating better pictures. The emphasis is on your skills behind the camera and your ability to effectively use the camera you have. Many participants bring digital cameras. Many choose film. Some bring both! Having people with both technologies on a course helps to compare the differences. Do not worry about your equipment - all you need is a 35mm SLR camera and lens(es) - no "point and shoot" cameras please.
