Pump up the light - pump up the fun! In this two part workshop we experience the challenge of balancing artificial lights of the urban city with natural light. We also explore the photo magic of 'light painting.' Your understanding of exposure and lighting will be pushed to new levels! Guaranteed fun!

Night Lights!

You will learn:

• creative observation - often we do not see even with our eyes open!
• evaluating and choosing ways to capture the urban lights
• assessing the correct exposures, compositions
• light painting techniques
• choosing appropriate equipment for night lights!

"Is this a digital or film course?" It is a photography course - about creating better pictures. The emphasis is on your skills behind the camera and your ability to effectively use the camera you have. Many participants bring digital cameras. Many choose film. Some bring both! Having people with both technologies on a course helps to compare the differences. Do not worry about your equipment - all you need is a 35mm SLR camera and lens(es) - no "point and shoot" cameras please.
