In our photo course for Communications Professionals<\/a>\u00a0we offer a crash course to help people take better workplace photos. We briefly introduce the idea of archiving their organization’s photos and other digital media.<\/p>\n

In the course I suggest an ideal scenario<\/em> where all of an organization’s photos are centralized, appropriately key-worded and accessible to staff.<\/p>\n

I usually get blank stares.
\n<\/em>The task of finding, organizing and setting up such a system can feel overwhelming.<\/p>\n

\nOver the course of the day you will:
\n\u2022 organize your current inventory of digital assets
\n\u2022\u00a0properly name files and folder structures
\n\u2022 organize your model and talent releases effectively
\n\u2022 non-destructively edit your current inventory of assets, with your team\u2019s help
\n\u2022 create metadata for tagging these assets, in a new or existing digital asset management system
\n\u2022 decide which metadata are important, manage current incomplete metadata and create a controlled vocabulary for your organization
\n\u2022 determine which internal policies your clients are using, and the issues and legal considerations that affect those policies
\n\u2022 assess and use digital asset management systems<\/p>\n
