I am President, photographer and chief business strategist of Harry, Inc. It&#8217;s good for me to get out and meet others. When I saw a Media Relations Workshop facilitated by <a href=\"http:\/\/mccarthymedia.com\/company_president.php\" onclick=\"return TrackClick('http%3A%2F%2Fmccarthymedia.com%2Fcompany_president.php','McCarthy+Media')\" title=\"McCarthy Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Karen Flanagan McCarthy<\/a>, veteran journalist, I jumped.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.harrynowell.com\/Photo\/MccarthyMedia2.jpg\" height=\"300\" width=\"220\" \/>                  <img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.harrynowell.com\/Photo\/MccarthyMedia.jpg\" alt=\"Karen McCarthy\" height=\"300\" width=\"220\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The workshop was offered by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ottawafestivals.ca\" onclick=\"return TrackClick('http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ottawafestivals.ca','Ottawa+Festivals')\" title=\"Ottawa Festivals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ottawa Festivals<\/a> and run by Karen&#8217;s company <a href=\"http:\/\/mccarthymedia.com\" onclick=\"return TrackClick('http%3A%2F%2Fmccarthymedia.com','McCarthy+Media+Group')\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"McCarthy Media Group\" rel=\"noopener\">McCarthy Media Group<\/a>. It was excellent.<\/p>\n<p>Right after the workshop I hustled to a coffee shop where I had arranged to meet an Algonquin College photography student looking for a work placement. We are going to work together for 2 weeks in April. Having more help will be good for me and it&#8217;ll be fun to offer some insights to the working world of photography!<\/p>\n<p>Long weekend &#8211; some skiing, some work, cheese fondue in one of the Gatineau Park cabins.<\/p>\n<p>Yum.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tweet I often work in a vacuum making many business decisions alone.
