They face the realities of photography ten years after the web and digital cameras became mainstream.<\/p>\n<p>Since digital cameras made photography seem more accessible and the web made sourcing photos easier than ever the perceived value of photography has plummeted!<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been an interesting challenge to explain the vast difference between the many levels of photos and photo services offered.<\/p>\n<p>And it&#8217;s been an even tougher challenge to get people to pay sustainable rates for high quality photography work. Sigh&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Some of the stories:<br \/>\n<strong><em>1. Photographer vs Big Business<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong> Local Ottawa photographer Barbi Cameron of <a title=\"Barbara Ann Studio\" href=\"http:\/\/www.barbara-ann-studios.com\/\" onclick=\"return TrackClick('http%3A%2F%2Fwww.barbara-ann-studios.com%2F','Barbara+Ann+Studio')\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barabara Ann Studios<\/a> butted heads with a prominent radio station when they used her photo in a promotion without appropriate licensing.
