This coming weekend we will be pitching the largest selection of our\u00a0Watershed exhibition<\/a>\u00a0so far – we have just printed some new work for the first time.<\/p>\n

Please join us at The New Art Festival<\/a> in the Glebe’s Central Park<\/a> next weekend – June 2 and 3, 2012.<\/p>\n

Find us at booth 19\u00a0NORTH. <\/em><\/strong>That’s near the intersection of Bank and Patterson.<\/p>\n

Watershed?<\/p>\n

“Watershed<\/a>” <\/strong>– weaves its way\u00a0from the headwaters in Gatineau Park\u00a0crossing boundaries, backyards, and a\u00a0village eventually falling into the\u00a0Ottawa River.\u00a0The process of exploration and\u00a0photography began over 10 years\u00a0ago as my dog and I wandered,\u00a0wondering where the creek behind\u00a0our house went.<\/em><\/p>\n

As Watershed transformed from fun\u00a0adventure into a collection of artwork\u00a0I revisited sites on the waterway\u00a0documenting the landscapes\u00a0encountered by the liquid thread:\u00a0rusted debris, concrete monsters and\u00a0devastatingly pristine beauty.\u00a0The creek refuses containment and\u00a0consistency. <\/em><\/p>\n

On the journey I found\u00a0ever changing magnicence, carcasses\u00a0of decaying cars and extensive feats\u00a0(and wrecks) of bulldozed infrastructure\u00a0– all around the same water flow. The\u00a0waterway crosses jurisdictions with a\u00a0disregard for policy, best intentions and\u00a0human engineering. The creek respects\u00a0no boundaries.<\/em><\/p>\n

Watershed illustrates the power of an\u00a0innocuous trickle while wryly smiling\u00a0at attempts to contain, dene and\u00a0shape the powerful force of water.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The photo exhibition was captured on film and digital equipment from small\u00a0modern digital SLR cameras to the\u00a0stunning medium and large format\u00a0cameras used by masters of\u00a0landscape photography.<\/em><\/p>\n
