{"id":137,"date":"2008-09-03T10:13:23","date_gmt":"2008-09-03T15:13:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.harrynowell.com\/blog\/2008\/09\/03\/122-muisc-and-photos\/"},"modified":"2022-05-29T08:21:11","modified_gmt":"2022-05-29T13:21:11","slug":"122-muisc-and-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.harrynowell.com\/blog\/2008\/09\/03\/122-muisc-and-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"#122 Muisc and photos"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"float: right; margin-left: 10px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/share\" class=\"twitter-share-button\" data-count=\"vertical\" data-url=\"http:\/\/www.harrynowell.com\/blog\/2008\/09\/03\/122-muisc-and-photos\/\">Tweet<\/a><\/div>\n<p>I finished a shoot last week for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.peterforet.com\" onclick=\"return TrackClick('http%3A%2F%2Fwww.peterforet.com','Peter+Foret')\" title=\"Peter Foret\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Peter Foret<\/a> and his big band <em><strong>Peter and the Wolves<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.HarryNowell.com\/Photo\/Foret2.jpg\" alt=\"Peter Foret\" \/><br \/>\n<em><strong>Peter Foret<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>A shoot like this always has its challenges:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>co-ordinating a <strong>large group<\/strong> of people<\/li>\n<li>dealing with <strong>uncertain weather<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>limited location<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>very <strong>limited timeline<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With so many people involved we had to &#8216;<strong>create some magic<\/strong>&#8216; with whatever was available &#8211; people, personalities, weather. There was <strong>little flexibility<\/strong> because of the size of the group. <strong>Studio lighting<\/strong> is always an option but limits flexibility further and increases time involved.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.HarryNowell.com\/Photo\/Foret1.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<em><strong>Peter and the Wolves<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We chose a familiar area that had a few options or &#8216;contingencies&#8217;. A shoot like this can be <strong>stressful<\/strong> as there are few certainties and many limitations. Stress can trample creativity. Developing a trust that things will work is tough but <strong>crucial to performance!<\/strong> More on performance and butterflies soon.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The shoot went well.<\/strong><\/em> We had reasonable weather for the shoot. I am pleased with the results.
