I think we need Photography Copyright reform but not as part of this Bill C-61. I cannot support a bill that may protect my work but robs Canadians of a fair and proper Copyright law. Photographic rights should be a BIll on its own. Until it does happen photographers do need to make sure they word all contracts and agreements so they retain their copyrights. Bill C-61 is just an awful piece of legislation it may do what should have been done along time ago pertaining to Photographer Rights but the rest of it is so bad I could not and would not get anyone to back it. A Bill that is specifically about Photographers rights would pass easier and not be tied into this very controversial Bill.
